Lady Tigers defeat Deltona

After losing their first two games of the tournament the Lady Tigers came out on Sunday and beat Deltona 4 - 0.   In a game which matched up two U12 teams who have been playing up the entire spring.  The Lady Tigers scored first when Lindsey (1) was able to slip a nice left footed volley past the Deltona keeper.

In the second half, EOS took control following a goal by Kelsey (1) followed a short time later by a goal from Giovanna (3).   Danielle found the back of the net in the closing minutes, taking advantage of a Deltona mistake in their defensive third of the field.

The Tigers were led on defense by Ashley, Kayla, Lauren, Rachel, Lindsey and Jessie.  EOS had three different players who assisted on goals, Christina (5,6), Giovanna (5), and Jessie (2).

Thank you all parents and players for working so hard this weekend.

Lady Tigers Drop two games at Seminole Tournament

The Lady Tigers didn't get off to the start that they were hoping for in the tournament dropping their first two games 4-0 and 2-1 to Westside and CFU Menace.

Despite the losing two, EOS did manage to win some moral victories by holding Westside scoreless for the remainder of the game after falling behind 4 - 0 early.  The defense which was helped by some excellent goal tending by Lindsey really came on strong in the 2nd half and and helped hold Westside scoreless.

In the CFU game the Tigers were led on offense  by Briana S (6) who took a pass from Ashley (1) and drilled a shot off the post to give EOS the lead.  Despite playing well overall the Tigers were not able to hold CFU and surrendered two late goals and were not able to recover.
